Description

The Assistive Technology or AT room is located on the 5th floor of the Spencer Dock library, to the right of the main entrance. This room contains PCs that are equipped with specialised applications for students with special educational needs. These applications are aimed at helping students with visual and hearing difficulties but there are also applications to practice typing, for a list of the main applications see here.

This room is equipped with a Clevertouch screen. These screens can be used to cast from your phone or laptop, or as a smart whiteboard. More information on these screens including instructions may be found here. Stylus pens, remote controls, keyboards and a mouse are available from the information desk on the 4th floor. The stylus pen is used to operate the whiteboard of the Clevertouch screen. The keyboard and mouse are used to log into the PC behind the Clevertouch or TV screens.
